Steven Garland BA (Hons)

Steve graduated from Leeds University in 2009 with a degree in Theatre & Performance and has since dedicated his career to working with children of all ages. He works with primary schools devising and leading drama workshops designed to help pupils think about the opportunities higher education can bring. As well as working in over 60 schools in the West Yorkshire area he has taught various activities in summer camps in Massachusetts in the United States and also worked on P&O cruise liners as a youth director.

His professional ethos incorporates his sense of humour and he is actively touring as a stand up comedian and sketch comedy performer. He uses the skills developed within this environment to communicate to children through fun and laughter and he has testimonials from both children and teachers praising his enthusiastic and positive approach to creative learning. More recently Steve has moved into the field of motivational speaking, delivering inspirational lectures to young people and adults. His informal style belies a serious intent to actively promote the development of young people.
